Jessica received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2010. After graduating, she spent several years working in a day treatment program with teens who had experienced trauma. It was here that she started to develop a passion for working with teens who have complex presentations including, mood instability, anxiety, self harm behaviors, suicidal thoughts, and symptoms of trauma. Jessica moved from Wisconsin to Oregon in 2015 where she continued working with children, teens, and families doing intensive in-home therapy and outpatient treatment. During this time, she co-led DBT skills groups and witnessed the effectiveness of DBT and the relief it can offer to people who are suffering. Jessica is currently a therapist on the Teen and Family team at PDBTI.
