Our Approach to Clinical Care at THRIVE
We all have times in our life when we need help – whether it’s getting back on track with important wellness goals, reducing stress, feeling less blue, having greater freedom and less fear, or simply more fulfilled. Our goal at THRIVE is to understand what matters most to each of our patients, carefully assessing their problems or life circumstances that stand in the way, and collaboratively building a treatment plan that will yield robust outcomes. We rely on best-practice scientifically validated proven behavioral methods to chart the most efficient an effective path back to health and wellness.
A Whole-Person Holistic Approach to Health
Not everything that causes us suffering can be changed. When it can, we apply the most robust cognitive-behavioral principles and methods to help our clients make important changes they seek to improve the quality of their life. When the drivers of suffering really cannot be changed, we help our clients radically accept what is.
We strive to see each of our clients holistically – in wholeness. This means that problems are understood in the broader context of a person’s life, not isolated to only that which is “inside the skin.”
Our Clinicians are Partners in Your Healing and Health
At THRIVE, we believe that the most efficient path to health and wellness is achieved when clients and clinicians work actively and collaboratively to develop a robust treatment roadmap and specific exercises geared fully to our client’s needs. In this way, THRIVE clinicians are more like coaches and teachers than the “old school” psychotherapists. You can expect nothing less than honesty, transparency, and great compassion from your THRIVE who too will care deeply about helping you achieve those goals that matter most to you.
Our Sister Organization
Portland DBT Institute is THRIVE’s sister organization. PDBTI is dedicated to treating individuals with multiple, severe, and complex behavioral problems, including chronically suicidal behavior.
